my baby is a sweet baby girl!!! im still kinda wary abt blogging, since some pple who read this blog like to blab, but hey, what the hell. i dont care anymore, cos im sooooo happy!! i get to buy cute little pinky stuff, and we r gonna name her zoe, it means 'God-given life' :) im thinking of moving my blog. thinking...

im NOT 3 months pregnant.
*BUMBUMBUM*!!!!
IM EIGHTEEN WEEKS AND TWO DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
baby is 18 weeks old!!!!!
darren and i just got the ultrasound results on tuesday!!! it was such a blessing in disguise - we decided to visit the doc just on the spur of the moment, but i think it was also God's leading - and we had to wait for a whole hr in the waiting room cos it was so busy. and when the doc came in, it was a different doc from the old white doc we were seeing since i found out i was pregnant. the new doc was a young chinese doc fresh outta med school. so we were thinking of coming back again when our old doc was in, but as the new doc - dr. tsoi - was looking through my file, he saw that the old doc didnt even record my second visit and he hadnt done any of the tests that he was supposed to have done, and since its my first pregnancy, i didnt know what had to be done or not. and he saw that my old doc hadnt started me on a 2 pg prenatal check up form, and hadnt given me a full check up...and i remembered that all he did was take my blood pressure.
sooooo darren and i were like ok, switch doctors. and the dr tsoi was really nice...cos the wating room was really full, and he'd already spent a long time with us, he told us the 'truth' abt how docs operate - they like to ask the patient to come back, so they earn more money. but he said that if we came back again later that night, he'd do all the necessary tests for free! praise God!
so we went back, and i got my first pap smear - darren held my hand and they both talked me through it so it wasnt that bad - just a bit plasticky - and a full check up and he gave me forms for more blood work and an ultrasound in a month to find out the baby's gender and to make sure the baby is normal. soooo cool!! AND we heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time!!!!! the doc let us listen for a really long time, and he said that the baby has a healthy heartrate :) praise GOD!!! im sooooooo excited!!
i thought i was only at 12 weeks, so i never felt for the baby's movements, cos i thought it was just gas, youre not supposed to be able to feel the baby till after 16 weeks. and i didnt think that i was so far along in my pregnancy either cos im still so small! i can still fit into my regular jeans, although they are a tad tight after i eat. :P so now, i spend every morning lying in bed just feeling baby wiggle around and kick...hes more active in the mornings :)
we helped soo and ray paint their baby room on sunday - darren did most of the painting, i did most of the sitting and eating hehehe. but the room is soooo lovely, and theyve got a crib and everything and it just got me so excited to be pregnant and to be having a baby...and everytime i see a mother and her child i get so impatient for my own...hehe a baby truly is a gift from GOD!!!!!
sooooooo that also means that my due date is earlier - around july 20th.

so, its finally official: i'm pregnant, and i'm getting married to the most wonderful man alive. im so happy. i'll be mrs.lee in 14 days...and a mother in 7 months. life is good. God is good. it wasnt easy, being pregnant and not being able to tell anyone about it cos - i was too scared being a Christian, unmarried girl - and just the fact that i was pregnant. and i was also puking 24/7. i had no idea how to tell my parents, and i was freaking out alot. i found out on the first day of my finals. thank God i pulled through and scored B's. but darren...he was really awesome. he comforted me and was always there for me, taking care of me, praying for me. his name means strong tower, and that was exactly what he was. when i was feeling so lonely and scared and far away from God, he was my refuge, my strong tower. he kept on telling me that everything was gonna be ok. and even though he was scared too, he trusted that God will take care of us, and forgive us. he made plans for us, and really really supported me during my first few months. he is really really awesome. im so glad im going to marry him. when we told his parents, they were really supportive and forgiving right away. his mom held my hand and said she loves me as her own daughter, and that they will help and support us. my parents didnt take it too well. i think it was harder for them too cos they r so far away. but they eventually came around and forgave us, and i know they still love me. everyone at church was really forgiving too, and loving. it was so hard telling pple, cos i felt so ashamed and scared and afraid. but soo came to talk to me, and she said that we should be proud that we r doing the right thing and having the baby and getting married. she really helped so much during this difficult time. so now, we r trying to put our mistakes behind us, and do the right thing for us and the baby. we'll be getting married feb 7th (the official signing) and having the wedding celebration after the baby is born. if its a boy, we'll name him zion. if it's a girl, cassie. :) im so happy and im falling more and more in love with darren...he's proven himself to be a great man over and over again. and im slowly learning more and more about the reality and strength of God's love, forgiveness, mercy and grace. i still cant fathom it, but im slowly understanding it not just as head knowledge, but heart knowledge.
well, im really tired now. will update soon. my dramatic life is not concluded.

my tummy is hurting and i want to eat. my body refuses to reconcile over this matter. im constantly burping. damnation and curses to my tummy! why wont you work with me! we must work together! to stay alive! we must go forwards, not backwards!! upwards, not forwards!!! and always twirling, twirling, TWIRLING TOWARDS FREEDOM!!!
i cannot do anything. im an angoraphobe, that is, i loathe the material angora. it gets way up my nose and i cant get it out. i have no choice but to breathe it into my lungs and let it coagulate there. it will be the cause of my death. death by angora.
my tummy is wreaking havoc in my internal systems. my muscles ache from snowboarding. blackcomb gave me blackbruises. i rocked it though. i conquered the mountain, ninja style.

it seems like my body can contain a gianormous amount of poo. each time i go poo, i lose a few pounds. how much poo can a body contain? i wonder. i think i can hold about 10 pounds of poo in my large intestines. itd hurt like a bitch, but i think i can do it.
my anus is complaining.

school is stressing me out. school is probably the reason why my body is going crazy. my body is rebelling against all the reading my eyes have to do, and all the information my brain has to keep. so its rejecting everything else that makes its way into my body.
i have ranted about killing school already, so i wont repeat myself, i trust that my morbidity will be cherished and fondly remembered by all.

wow. last weekend was a total whirlwind of emotions, fluctating with out end, peaking and crashing, i never saw what was coming next until BANG it hit me with the force of a thousand fists.
but let me start over, coherently this time.

friday i went crazy. completely nutty whacko assylum insane. i dont know why, probably PMS and stress over school work, but my boyfriend said some stupid jokes abt me, and i flipped. like totally. i went kamakazi on him. i even hit him a couple times. but the whole time he just stood there and took it like a man, and apologised, and said 'iloveuiloveuiloveu'. what an awesome man. he makes me so mad sometimes, but he always makes it better. so we made up.

then, i went to go meet mel, and she had a horrible day too, cos her boss quit, so we were just telling each other abt our day, and evaluating our situations. it felt better talking about it, and knowing that i didnt get mad for no good reason *mel said she would have gotten upset too if dave flippantly said what darren said* but i shouldnt have blown it up into such a huge thing. i think darren and i arent calm pple...we love and fight passionately...although i fight with more angst than he. hehe.

THEN, we went for cell group, feeling all tense cos mel and i were talking really loudly in the car and our emotions hadnt really subsided...

THEN! we had dinner at julias, and julia was telling us abt her breakdown that morning, and THEN!!!!!! she tells us that amanda was gonna come for cell later to 'talk' to us. apparently, she was coming to meet us 'one last time' and 'talk' to us cos we hurt her. well. i knew what was coming. i hadnt called her, and i had bailed on her a couple times cos i was busy and i forgot, but it was NOTHIING PERSONAL. and we had this talk one night, and i think she misunderstood me, but she seemed fine the next day, and so i didnt think about it anymore. BUT, obviously, she had a problem.

AND!!!!?!?!?!!? her whole breakdown was all my fault. JEEZ, i didnt know how much more i coulda taken that night. but i was calm, i apologised, explained what i meant, and i tried my best to let her know that i still think of her as my friend and 'sister', even though she thought our friendship needed a 'break'. which is good, cos i dont think i can handle too much neediness, ive got my bf and family and a whole other slew of problems to deal with, without someone gettin mad at me just for not calling, and cos of misunderstanding on her part, and brewing and stewing silently - AND expecting me to know whats the matter. jeeeeez...my nerves were totally wrought.

AND THEN!!!! TO CONFOUND ALL CRAZINESS THAT NIGHT!!!! she brings up my sis. SO DUH!!! i have this complete breakdown, act like a total baby and wail my eyes out. but soo's gentle intercession and love and care soothed my frayed nerves, and my sis, soo and i went to the basement to talk and pray...i wont say things were miraculously better after that, but it did me good to know how my sister felt, and also feel a measure of protection from soo. all in all, although my sis thing was the icing on the cake of horror, the icing was still semi-sweet.

i feel much better about my relationship with my sis now, and i dont feel badly towards amanda or anything, although its good that shes takin a break, cos im gonna be REALLY busy next few weeks and wont be able to chill with her anyways.

BUT THEN i went to darrens (cos i was staying at his lovely amenity filled apt while he went to his parents in surrey) and he was still at home, which was good, cos i totally needed him, but !!! i had a complete and total breakdown and bawled my eyes out again and poor guy didnt know what to do cept comfort me...hes sooo sooo sooo good. he tried to make me laugh, and not think about stuff, but i was just too tired and to emotionally distraught to crack a smile....i dont think ive ever had so much happen to me in one night. *deep breath*

mel came over after he left, and we were gonna have *super fun girly day* to soothe our bashed and battered emotional selves. so, we indulged. and indulged we did!!!!! we went for super yummy lunch at egogiku, ate to our hearts delight, then went to the shoppers drug mart opening day, SHOPPED to our girly hearts desire, blew about 130 on beauty products, felt sooooooo GOOD! rented mulan, went swimming - as in workout swimming - had a dip in the hot tub, spent a few mins in the sauna, then had fishball noodles for dinner with a gorgeous night view of false creek right beside us, did our facials with our newly bought beauty products, then watched the classics - the little mermaid and beauty and the beast - while pigging on ice cream and various snacks. then, finally, we went to bed. tired. pooped. spent. happy. satisfied. smooth skinned. :)

next day we went to church, and sam preached an awesome msg...God totally healed my ripped heart. it was more than therapeutic to be in church...it was a connection with God, a going back, an indescribable feeling and healing that only a relationship with God can bring. so....things are better now. :)

the guys went over to darrens after lunch to watch the football game, and i went to nap...mmm...napping was good...then i woke up for dinner, then went to sleep...mmmm sleeping was good....

now im up, bright and early, ready to conquer the world!!! hehe or at least my registration...which starts at 10 30 am.
tonight, its lobster dinner!!!!!!!! with mel...kekeke oooh i likes that i likes it alot.
maybe i'll bring some over to darrens after...hes such a sweet loving boi...*sigh* so tender and so sweet. yummy. :P

phew! felt good to get that off my chest. i feel better now. gonna drink some tea. :)

weekend of fun!

i had an awesome weekend!!! hehe i thought id be studying all day saturday - which i did - but that night darren totally surprised me and besides scaring the bejesus outta me, he brought me out for dessert and a movie - THE BEST MOVIE EVER: THE INCREDIBLES!!!!!!! it was sooooooooo good and sooooooooo funni i wanna watch it again :D
that show totally rocks! prob the best pixar/disney show ive ever seen. beats nemo dude....and thats sayin ALOT. i like dash :) we had a blast :)
then on sunday, i played my little solo without totally messing up *praise God* and after lunch a bunch of us went over to darrens place to watch some kung fu movie *the house of daggers* or something weird like that. it was pretty good...esp cos 3 of my fave chinky actors were in it...andy lau, takashi kashinero and some other dude i forget his name. so many pretty boys...but darren is the prettiest, of course. my manly man :P
did some work, read some books...tried not to play cs too much, lol. then steve invited darren and i to his poetry reading tonight - it was INTENSE, to say the least. hes a really passionate poet. i like his stuff. some of the other guys were pretty good too. there was this really ancient sailor lookin dude who read his stories...his soft core porn stories. it was wild listening to a hunched over, wrinkled guy reading out sexual situations from his aged imagination. apparently he has been published too. the world is his oyster i guess. but we had a really interesting time. now its backsies to worksies, as i always say.

been going through a bunch of things *internal struggles* and was reminded of God's love laaaaate last night...and it sort of came out in a poem. ive not writen one for a really really long time - try a coupla years - so...it was refreshing to write this one out. i love expressing myself through words...it gives me a sort of joy...and my written works are kinda like my children, kinda like my message to the world. its internal and external, implusive and explosive. keke. i sort of understand God's written word better when i sit and think about writing something for others to read. yet my words can never be compared to His: His words bring new life, mine merely express my joy in His new life. His words raise the dead, mine celebrate the raising thereof. simply put, His words are crazy good, mine are just sometimes crazy.

just uploaded a whole bunch of pics from summer to halloween...the summer pics were taken in nanaimo, when darren and i went to visit mike and marie long over the weekend. we went to victoria first, had a smashing seafood feast *see crab series* and then moved on to nanaimo, where we did some sheesha and played cards. :)
i also added misc pics of darrens bike, me on his bike, him next to his bike, and other variations of that combination.
and i threw in a hot pic of clay, just for fun. kekeke
last pic is of me and yubee, before we hit the town on sunday night - all hallows eve, aka halloween. we had a blast, took tons of pics which should be arriving shortly :) the costumes were wild! i took a pic with a guy dressed as bender...it was awesome. that was my first ever halloween going out thingy...not sure if i'll do it again. getting dressed was the funnest part - doing our makeup and everything. i went as a jap school girl/punk cos i didnt want to waste money on a costume... i already had the dress and skirt, so all i had to do was to funk it up. and funk it up we did!!! hehehe
well, now its back to study time...lalala i love lamp.

halloween!!

AG EXTREME MAKEOVER!!!!

phew! what an exhausting day!!! im happy to say that the AG EXTREME MAKEOVER was a complete and utter sucess!! yay!! for those of u not in the loop, the ag extreme makeover was an idea the started in the little bored but philanthropic brain of my sister, michelle, who wanted to have a surprise makeover/date for julia and family for her birthday. wow that was a long sentence, but it was worth it. keek. so a bunch of girls jumped at the opportunity to takeover julia and her house hehe. there were 3 teams: team makeover (to do julias makeover) *i was in that team*, team kids (to watch the kids, duh), and team clean (to clean julia - i mean to clean julias house.). we met at QE park to get name tags and everything, we even had color coded tee-shirts - red for makeover girls, blue for cleaning girls, and white for the nannies hehehe. oh and we had mel, who was her own team, team camera woman lol.
we snuck up to julias house and rang on her doorbell, and when she answered, we all screamed like crazy wild animals, and made her baby cry. she cried too, a little.
we then proceeded to take over her entire house - andrew was absolutely NOT allowed to see julia before she was ready hehe.
mich, amanda and i did a smashing job on julias hair and makeup, she looked absolutely gorgeous by the time we were done with her. hehehe then we sent them off on their date (everyone contributed $10 bucks for them to go for a lovely dinner) and we had our own dinner - fried dinner. the girls totally pigged out, and made a huge mess...and then cleaned up. evan cried all night...even with 10 girls at his beck and call. ashley was good though...cept she pooped her pants and didnt say anything about it and when i checked her pampers, the smell was so noxiously pungent it made me wanna hurl.
it was glorious mayhem and frenzied cleaning...by the time the girls were done with their zealous scrubbing *i was studying and watching ashley hehe* the house was sparkling, ashley was fed and happy *i bribed her with ice cream :P*, and evan...well, he was stilll crying.
then andrew and julia cam home from their date, we all had some green tea ice cream and mango ice cream, and then we took some cheesy group pics.
it was awesome fun and im sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo tired right now but im addicted to the computer and i need to digest my food and sew my skirt for tomorrow.
its halloween, and im going partying. gonna go as a jap girl...hehehe cos im too *kiam* to buy a real costume.

oh what a day what a wonderful day...my bf came over from school woke me up and made me hot chocolate yummy! :) then he surprised me by suggesting that we ditch our school work for the day and go out and enjoy the sun...so we went biking along the sea wall, and it was sooooooooo clear and beautiful...fall is such a gorgeous season! we biked to granville island, chucked our bikes at the bike stand near the market place and roamed around a little. the street performer at the market today was really somethin' else...he looked kinda asian, jap or something, but he had a black voice, and sang jazz in spanish...it was wild. he was really good. it was kinda surreal, just sitting there on the bench in darrens arms, watching the street dude sing under a tree with golden leaves, with flocks of pigeons flying by...it was quite pitcuresque. *sigh*
then we did the chinese thing - we wandered around the market to find good stuff to eat. we shared a bowl of clam chowder, greek salad and lamb pita, and had a lemon meringue pie to top off the meal. mmmm good. never had meringue pie before...i decided i like the brown crust and the foamy white stuff, but the lemon pie was too sour. after that, we hopped on our bikes and headed back to darrens place...on the way back darren did a few jumps and wheelies...so cool. im attracted to acts of physical prowess/strength/agility like that. its base and animalistic, but darren says its ok to be attracted to him on all levels. hehehe he cracks me up. oh! and we saw this guy doing stunts on his motorbike, front and back wheelies and stuff like that. so cool. i think he was a stunt man, practicing his moves. anyhoos, we went back and watched the day after tomorrow. it was as pretty good show, really exciting, and dennis quaid is always hot. keek.
darren went to nap like a little baby after the show...and i...i played CS!!!!! muahahaha i was pretty good too, so good some dude thought i was hacking, but then i started sucking...cos i think the CT team was hacking. i always play T, cos i like the ak47. its a good gun. keke
anyhoos, woke darren up, went for subway, and had a nice tv dinner. *sigh* it was really wonderful. and to end it, darren made me hot chocolate again hehe.
im just about to study...argh...so much work to doooooo so little time...hmmm scrubs is on in 8 mins...should i watch or should i not? *helpch*

i mostly feel happy. unless my 'aunty' comes, then i feel really crappy and get bad cramps. most of the time im happy though. sometimes i get stressed when theres an essay due and ive not done it. but thats rare. i feel happiest when im walking close to God, and theres not a care in the world that could bring me down from my cloud nine.
my appearance:
i appear to be a girl. with 2 eyes, 2 ears, and 2...no one nose, and one mouth. i wish i had 2 mouths, so i can talk while i eat. ive got large brown eyes, brown skin, long arms and long legs. sometimes i look like a monkey. ive got brown hair with blonde highlights and cute bangs, courtesy of Toni & Guys. ive got stubby fingers and stubby toes. im a bit knock-kneed, but u can only tell if u stare at my legs for more than 5 mins, and by then, darren would have beat u up. :P just kidding. i get zits once in a while. i try to take care of my face, but sometimes i cant help it.
my physical traits:
i like to think im a sporty girl, but the truth is, ive not been exercising for years and years. i still can take a good hike, although that statement has yet to be proven. sometimes i go biking. im not hardcore like most guys, but thats cos im not one. sometimes i float in the pool. sometimes i sink. i play most sports. i used to run fast. i dont push my body to its limits, and i dont train or workout alot. i try to suck it in sometimes. when i feel like it. but mostly i pig out.
my social traits:
im shy when i meet new people. sometimes i dont know what to say and im awkward. but i like to be friendly. i usually am, i think. ive made lots of friend over the years, and im still on good terms with all of them, excluding one.
my talents:
i can spin a good yarn. im good at essaying. im getting better at playing the guitar and im gonna be awesome at snowboarding. im also good at encouraging other when they are down...or so ive heard. and i like to think that im a good cook. im good at folding pieces of paper.
my intellectual abilities:
yeah yeah im smart. dangerously so. but i could be smarter.
my beliefs and values:
i believe in God. i value His word. i believe that christians should not shove their beliefs in other peoples faces. i believe in a more subtle, but effective strategy - living it. i believe actions speak more than words. i value the spoken word, and the living word. i value my friends. i believe they are nice. hehe. i believe that a healthy family unit is very integral to a persons socialization. i believe in angels and demons, but most of all, i believe in God.
